The Conducting Workshop for Music Educators consists of four days of podium sessions and seminars to be held Monday, July 16, through Thursday, July 19, 2012, at The Juilliard School in New York City. This workshop is designed for band and orchestra conductors actively teaching at the middle school, high school, and college levels.
Ten Conducting Fellows will be selected to conduct an advanced ensemble during the workshop. Thirty Participants will be selected to observe podium sessions and participate in seminars.

APPLY FOR ONE OF TWO LEVELS
Conducting Fellow
Ten Conducting Fellows will be selected to
• Conduct during daily podium sessions for a workshop total of 72 minutes
• Receive video feedback
• Participate in seminars
To apply to be a Conducting Fellow, applicants must submit a DVD of 15 minutes of a rehearsal AND 15 minutes of a performance. The DVD should be compatible with commercial DVD players. Submitted DVDs should be marked clearly with the performer's name and repertoire.

The Conducting Fellow fee is $2,000 for 2 credits.
Participant
Thirty Participants will be selected to observe conducting sessions and participate in seminars.
The Participant fee is $1,200 for 1 credit.

HOUSING AND MEALS
Limited housing is available in Juilliard's Meredith Willson Residence Hall. The residence hall is located next to The Juilliard School, and each dormitory-style suite contains five bedrooms (two singles and three doubles with bunk beds), two and a half bathrooms and a living room. Only bed linens are provided; residents must provide all other necessities.
Cost for 4 days, 5 nights: $425
(Guests may check in Sunday afternoon and check out Friday morning.)
No meal plan is provided during the workshop, but food is available on campus at the Juilliard Cafeteria. There are also numerous restaurants in the Lincoln Center area within a short distance of The Juilliard School.
