The following purchase policies apply to your purchase of tickets for Juilliard performances and are subject to our Terms of Use, which are incorporated herein by reference. Our goal is to make your purchasing experience as simple and convenient as possible. The following policies are designed to ensure your understanding of the purchase process and your satisfaction with your purchase. We may impose conditions on your use of any coupon, promotional code, credit, or gift card. Ticket Purchase Policy

  1. Payment Methods

We accept several methods of payment to accommodate your needs, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and check.

  1. Order Confirmation

Order Confirmation: Once you have submitted payment information online and your ticket purchase is successful, you will receive two emails: an order confirmation with your receipt, and a second email with your e-tickets attached via PDF. If you are not able to locate your e-tickets in your inbox please search by sender, [email protected] or by subject line, “Your e-tickets are ready!” If you still cannot find your tickets, please check your spam/junk folder.

Unable to Confirm Tickets: If you do not receive an order confirmation email and an email with e-tickets attached after submitting payment information and checking out (especially if you experience an error message or service interruption), it is your responsibility to confirm with the Juilliard Box Office that your order has been placed. Juilliard is not responsible for any loss you may incur if you fail to confirm with us before the event and in time to remedy the situation.

  1. Electronic Tickets

An e-ticket can be presented via smart device or printed at home for entry access.  You can also access your e-tickets on your account at any time.

  1. Charges and Fees

By completing a purchase for tickets, membership or other merchandise, you agree to pay, in addition to the price for the product, other fees and charges that we may impose, including but not limited to, convenience fees, processing fees, method of delivery fees and other miscellaneous fees. The amount of each fee may vary, depending on the product you purchase and the method you select to receive your item.

Fees and charges, including (but not limited to) charges for issuance, convenience, handling, processing, shipping, delivery, (including but not limited to, other courier delivery), and any other miscellaneous charges assessed by us represent, among other things, the costs we incur in providing our goods and services to you. The fees and charges we assess may be greater than our actual cost of providing those services, and we may retain a portion of all such fees.

  1. Account, Order and Billing Information Verification

All information on accounts and orders must be valid and is subject to verification. Orders are subject to credit card approval and are processed only after the billing address associated with your credit card and other billing information have been verified. Orders that are placed, or attempted to be placed, using an account with any information that is found to be false, misleading, incorrect, or incomplete, or that cannot be verified as belonging to the account holder—such as name, address, email address, phone number, or other account or billing information—are subject to cancelation. If your order is canceled for any of the foregoing reasons, we may release your tickets to another purchaser without further notice to you.

  1. Accessible Seating

Tickets for accessible seats (i.e., seats to accommodate wheelchairs and companion seats) are designated spaces reserved solely for patrons with accessibility needs or disabilities. There are no fixed seats in these locations and the adjacent seat is allocated for a companion. Use of accessible seats by non-disabled persons is prohibited and may result in forfeiture of tickets and removal from the venue.

For further information or assistance, please contact the box office via phone at (212) 769-7406 or via email at [email protected].

  1. Number of Tickets / Ticket Limits

To discourage unfair ticket buying practices, you may only purchase a specified number of tickets for each event. This ticket limit is posted during the purchase process and verified with every transaction. Each account must be linked to a unique individual and must contain valid and verifiable information. Multiple accounts may not be used to circumvent or exceed published ticket limits. If you exceed or attempt to exceed the posted ticket limits, we reserve the right to cancel any or all orders and tickets, in addition to prohibiting future ticket purchases. Any tickets canceled due to violating the posted ticket limit will be refunded at face value, excluding any applicable fees. This includes all orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number, or other information.

  1. Ticket Transfers

If your tickets are eligible for transfer to another person, you can transfer them digitally from your online account by forwarding your PDF tickets via email.

Please note that transferred tickets can be canceled at any time if we determine that they were obtained fraudulently or otherwise in violation of our policies.

  1. Unlawful Resale of Tickets

Unlawful resale (or attempted unlawful resale) of tickets, including but not limited to resale of counterfeit tickets or copies of tickets, may result in seizure and cancelation of the tickets without compensation. You are responsible for complying with all applicable ticket resale laws. In addition, we reserve the right to restrict or deny ticket purchasing privileges to anyone that we determine to be, or to have been, in violation of our policies. Because we do not guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from any non-authorized third-party reseller (such as brokers or individuals), we recommend that you purchase tickets directly through us, through authorized partners, or from the venue box office to ensure ticket authenticity. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests, or sweepstakes, unless formal written authorization is given by us.

  1. Canceled, Postponed, and Rescheduled Events

Occasionally, events are canceled, postponed, rescheduled to a different date or time, or moved to a different venue:

If the event is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved, the purchaser will have the option of choosing either a refund or a donation to Juilliard in the amount of the ticket price. Any refund and/or donation policies are determined on an event-by-event basis and may be subject to limitations. If the event is approved for refunds and/or donations, we will send you a notification via email explaining your options, and you may submit a request for a refund or donation.

If your event is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved, we will attempt to contact you to update you on the status of the event and inform you of any refund, donation, or exchange procedures. For the exact status on any particular canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved event, please check the event information online or contact our box office at (212) 769-7406 or via email at [email protected].

We will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you or anyone else incur in connection with a canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or moved event.

  1. Refunds, Credits and Exchanges

Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your event and seat selection. Exchanges and refunds will not be issued after ticket purchase except in limited circumstances, as explained in this section and the section on Canceled, Postponed, and Rescheduled Events. Physical tickets that are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed will not be replaced.

Refunds. If a refund is issued, it will be credited to the original method of payment used at the time of purchase. We cannot issue a refund to a different credit or debit card. If your credit card or debit card number has changed but is for the same account (e.g., a new card has been issued for the same account), the refund will be credited to that account.

Please note that seating maps are representative of a venue’s layout; however, they are subject to change at any time, and refunds are not allowed if the seating map is updated, if additional seats/rows are added, or if seats change as a result of a venue change after purchase.

Prices are subject to change, and we will not refund the difference between the original price and the sale price, if any.

Donations. To donate tickets you cannot use, please contact the Juilliard box office via email at [email protected] or by phone at (212) 769-7406.

All requests for a refund or donation are final and cannot be changed once initiated.

Merchandise. All merchandise purchases are final.

Chargebacks and Other Refund Prohibitions. You agree that you will not attempt to evade, avoid, or circumvent any refund prohibitions in any manner with regard to tickets you purchase, and you will not dispute or otherwise seek a “chargeback” from the company whose credit card or other method of payment you used to purchase tickets. Should you do so, your tickets are subject to immediate cancelation, and we may in our sole discretion refuse to honor pending and future ticket purchases made from all credit card accounts or online accounts on which such chargebacks have been made; prohibit future purchases from all persons in whose name the credit card accounts exist; and prohibit purchases by any person who accesses any associated online account or credit card or who otherwise breaches this provision.

  1. Pricing and Possible Errors

If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect (regardless of whether it is incorrect because of an error in a price posted on the site or otherwise communicated to you), or if you are able to order a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date or a ticket that was not supposed to have been released for sale, then we have the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund the purchase price to you. This will apply regardless of whether the error occurred because of human error or a transactional malfunction of the site. We will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you or anyone else incur in connection with such errors. If a refund is processed in error or a refund exceeds the original amount paid, we reserve the right to recharge the original method of payment used at time of purchase.

When ordering tickets online with us, please ensure you are searching for tickets and placing an order using only one browser window. Searching for tickets using multiple browser windows could result in losing your tickets, errors occurring during the purchase process, or timer expiration.

  1. Compliance With Venue Policies

You agree to comply with the venue’s applicable rules, policies, terms, and conditions. Juilliard reserves the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to or eject any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language, who refuses to comply with health and safety protocols, or who otherwise fails to comply with venue rules.

  1. Recording, Transmission, and Exhibition

You agree that the event for which you purchase tickets is a public event, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the event. You grant permission to us, our partners, licensees and assigns, including but not limited to our brand and media partners, to utilize your name, image, likeness, acts, poses, plays, appearance, movements, and statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the event (regardless of whether before, during or after a performance) for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed, without further authorization from or compensation to you or anyone acting on your behalf. In the case of virtual events, you may view the virtual event solely for your own personal purposes.

You may not record, copy, publicly exhibit, transmit, or distribute any virtual event through any means, resell views of any virtual event, or allow others to log into your account for the purpose of watching a virtual event.

  1. Consent to Search

You and your belongings may be searched upon entry to the event. You expressly consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise in connection with those searches. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Certain items are prohibited on the premises, including without limitation: firearms, alcohol, drugs, and controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, laser pointers, strobe lights, irritants (e.g., artificial noisemakers), bundles, and containers.

  1. Fire Safety Regulations

Fire safety regulations require that aisles are kept clear of obstruction, including mobility assistive devices.
