| Joe Turner Explores Legacy of Loss and Reconciliation

| | Celebrating the Legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. In January 1989, a group of Juilliard students created a performance to honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr., and since that time, the annual M.L.K. Celebration has been a tradition of dance, drama and music performances uniting more than 400 faculty, staff, students, and alumni. This coming January, Juilliard will host its 20th annual M.L.K. Celebration. In recognition of the journey traveled, The Juilliard Journal proudly presents a series of articles that reflect on past M.L.K. performances and the influence of Dr. King’s legacy.
