Scholarship Giving At Juilliard, admission has always been based on talent and dedication alone. We believe that no student should be denied a Juilliard education for want of funds, yet making our conviction a reality becomes more challenging every year. Fully 9 out of 10 Juilliard students qualify for financial aid. To help meet this extraordinary need, many generous individuals, foundations and corporations contribute to Juilliard's scholarship program. We invite you to join them.
THE JUILLIARD SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Offering support to any student with need, this important fund makes a Juilliard education possible for many deserving young artists. Gifts in any amount are valuable and welcome, and are fully tax-deductible.
A NAMED SCHOLARSHIP
With a gift of $2,500 or more ($500 in the Pre-College Division) a scholarship can be established in the name of the donor, or in honor or memory of someone special, like a family member, a beloved teacher or a favorite performing artist. One may fund a partial or full scholarship on an annual basis, or permanently endow a scholarship at Juilliard to create a lasting legacy that will encourage and support talented young people for generations to come.
Minimum contributions for a named annual scholarship are:
Partial Scholarship (one year) $2,500 or more
Full Scholarship (one year) $28,640
Minimum contributions for a named permanently endowed scholarship are:
Partial Scholarship $50,000 or more
Full Scholarship $575,000
Full Scholarship and Residency $725,000
Juilliard's scholarship assistance extends to its Pre-College Division, where the minimum amounts required to establish a named award are as follows:
Partial Scholarship (one year) $500 or more
Full Scholarship (one year) $7,975
Partial Scholarship (endowed) $25,000 or more
Full Scholarship (endowed) $160,000
All scholarship recipients are chosen by a Juilliard committee of senior administrators and faculty primarily on the basis of financial need, as well as artistic merit. Donors may not select recipients. Contributions to The Juilliard School for scholarships are fully tax-deductible.
